Art Therapy
Cynthia Schildhauer is a trained Art Therapist practicing with individuals, couples and groups.
In art therapy, art materials and artistic process are used to explore life situations and possibilties. Because our creative spirt knows things that the rational mind does not, through this process we are able to address a part of the self that is often unexamined.
Based on solid clinical and artistic theories, art therapy is an effective treatment for a range of conditions and situations and provides stress reduction, self awareness, improved problem solving abilities and overall well being.
For artists, art therapy can help break through creative blocks and enhance creativity.
Sessions also include basic art instruction and critique. Appointments available at Cynthia's studio or private office.

Cynthia on "Art Therapy"
"Having worked in a variety of settings using the arts, I have come to view myself as a 'creativity conduit,' rather than a 'therapist.' The creative process is what is responsible for helping people feel good and get motivatied and inspired to desire creative change. I am merely a trained coach. I set the stage, I encourage, I listen, I give honest feedback. It is the process, the journey that I offer. The product is secondary though I work to help the creations look as complete as they can be."

Romney Designs and Art
If art could talk, Romney's work would have much to say. Like their creator, her brilliantly colored and highly imaginative dishware and decorative pieces are truly one-of-a-kind. Romneys newest project is painting her festive designs on high quality, rubber soled, stapled Dansko clogs.
